Best known in the United States for playing Dr. Robert Chase in the medical drama “House,” Jesse Spencer can be seen in the “One Chicago” franchise series “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Med” in the form of Matthew Casey.

Born in Melbourne, Australia on Monday, 12 Feb. 1979, Spencer is one of numerous prominent Australian actors that have appeared in the long running soap opera “Neighbours.”

Further, at one time or another, the Hemsworth brothers, Liam, Luke and Chris all played characters in “Neighbours.”

According to IMDb, Spencer’s “Time Trax” appearance came before he took up residence at 28 Ramsay Street, Erinsborough, Melbourne in “Neighbours” as Billy Kennedy.

Even though the actor returned to Ramsay Street in 2005 for the Jovita O’Shaughnessy directed anniversary episode “Friends for Twenty Years,” Spencer had not been part of the regular cast since April 2000 when television audiences saw him leave the cul-de-sac.
